Autograph's Audio Solution At Stylish Central London Venue

Once part of The Regent Palace Hotel, close to London’s Piccadilly, ‘Live At Zédel’ is a part of an entertainment complex set in the most opulent Art Deco surroundings, where visitors may enjoy not only a range of contemporary entertainment but drinks in the beautiful Bar Américain and fine contemporary dining at Brasserie Zédel.

The diversity of entertainment on offer at ‘Live At Zédel’ is striking, featuring many styles of music as well as theatre, comedy and literary events. The venue is managed by Fane Productions, whose vision for its continued development includes the recording of live performances and subsequent online releases made available within just a few hours of the event itself.

Far removed from the ‘board tapes’ whose dubious quality spawned so many bootleg releases, modern equipment extends the role of the house mixing console to include very high quality, multi-track recording of a live event. Autograph Sales & Installations have recently supplied and commissioned a compact suite of mixing and recording equipment to facilitate Fane Productions’ ambition of capturing and subsequently releasing shows from Live At Zédel.

A Yamaha TF1 digital mixing console complete with a pair of Yamaha Tio1608-D stage boxes, provides up to 40 input channels from the stage which can be recorded individually direct to a JoeCo BLACKBOX BBR64-DANTE multi-track recorder, using the Dante digital protocol and connected via a Dante card fitted to the Yamaha. Those same inputs channels are simultaneously mixed for the live audience, then immediately post-show the multi-track recording is remixed for release and made available for download via Fane Productions’ website.

The first release to be done in this way featured the Jay Rayner Quartet, led by the eponymous and multi-talented musician, restaurant critic, chef, writer and broadcaster - you can find the show HERE and lots more information about Jay HERE.
